Ground floor, Continuum HQ tower

Everyone upstairs calls it
"the café downstairs."

The café on the ground floor of the Continuum HQ tower, Sydney CBD. Coffee and snacks for the building and for anyone passing through, made quickly enough to fit between meetings.

The café

Busy, bright, and quick about it

This room works to the rhythm of the tower above it. Nobody lingers long, so nothing here is slow: not the coffee, not the counter, not the queue.

Coffee, quickly

The default coffee stop for the whole building. The queue before nine moves fast because it has to; there is a meeting on the other side of it.

Snacks from the counter

Simple counter food to carry back upstairs or eat at a table. Enough to get you to lunch, never enough to slow you down.

A table between meetings

Short catch-ups, impromptu syncs, a quiet coffee to toast a small win. Meetings here are the kind that end with "I have to get back upstairs."

Open to the street

You do not need a lanyard. Building visitors and passing trade are as welcome as the people who work upstairs.

Order ahead

Skip the queue, not the coffee

Put your order in before you reach the ground floor and it is waiting when you get there. The board keeps to the staples; prices are on the counter.

House rhythm

Nothing here is a meeting

The café sits in the open, at the base of the tower. Conversations are short, tables turn over, and the room stays bright and busy from the first coffee of the day.

  • "We can't linger, I have to get back upstairs."

That is the house sentence. Order, sit if you have ten minutes, take it with you if you have two. The café will still be here on your next trip down.
